FarmFirst's 6th Annual Meeting

This year’s annual meeting theme for FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative is ‘Navigating the Dairy Industry,’ as we dive in deep into some of the hot issues facing the dairy industry today. From our workshop series to the business meeting topics and resolutions to be discussed, dairy farmers together can gain some fresh perspective on new ideas to make the most of tight margins and to also hear an update from the frontlines of Washington, D.C.

All members are welcome and encouraged to attend this year’s Producer Discovery Workshop series, taking place on Friday afternoon on February 9, 2018 at the Best Western Premier Convention Center in Oshkosh, Wis. Free attendance to those who register!

This year’s Producer Discovery Workshops will feature:

1:15 p.m. Capitalizing on the Tidal Wave of Trade Focus in 2018, Shawna Morris, Trade Policy VP, National Milk Producers Federation
A strong supply of milk is best accompanied with a strong demand for it. One of the ways the U.S. dairy industry is looking to build demand is by increasing exports through trade. Shawna shares the status of what U.S. dairy trade looks like today, and what 2018 might be able to bring to support U.S. dairy prices.

2:45 p.m. Staying Aboard: How a Safety Mindset Can Reduce Risk and Save More than Money Paul Klein & Jen Pino-Gallagher, from M3 Insurance When margins are tight, key updates on the farm are often put on hold, including ones that impact safety. Paul & Jen will share some resources and anecdotes to help you evaluate what you can do to not only keep you and your farm workers safe, but your farm operating profitably and efficiently.

Be sure to take advantage of this great educational opportunity! To ensure seating space, please contact the office to reserve your spot.
