FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative scholarships for 2020 are once again available to membership youth pursuing a post-secondary education. The scholarship application deadline is March 31, 2020.

“In its eighth year, the scholarship program is a true testament to the cooperative’s commitment of supporting youth and their higher education. Since 2013, more than $145,000 has been awarded to 165 youth, pursuing various degrees within and beyond agriculture,” says John Rettler, dairy farmer from Neosho, Wis. and president of FarmFirst. “This is something that has been and always will be important to the cooperative – supporting membership youth and the next generation of cooperative leaders.”

The scholarship application is available on FarmFirst’s website, or via this short link: Sons and daughters of membership youth are encouraged to apply as the scholarship is not limited to applicants pursuing a career related to agriculture. Applicants must be the son or daughter of a current cooperative member.

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on leadership, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, an essay response, their future plans and career goals. All members of FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative and their children attending four-year universities, two-year technical programs or short courses in addition to high school seniors planning for post-secondary education are eligible to apply for the scholarships.

Applications are due March 31, 2020 and can be found online for online submission or to download the form. For additional information on FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative or to access the scholarship application, visit or call (608) 244-3373.
