Today’s the last day for members of FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative to register for the virtual District Meeting, being held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
To participate, members must first visit FarmFirst’s website at www.FarmFirstDairyCooperative.com to register. After submitting the online registration form, members will receive a confirmation email with the conference link included.
The virtual meeting will feature Jim Mulhern, President & CEO of the National Milk Producers Federation who will recap our policy achievements over the past year, the issues we are continuing to address as well as an insider’s view on what we can expect from President-elect Joe Biden and the new Congress with respect to agriculture policy.
In addition, General Manager Jeff Lyon will provide a year-in-review on the cooperative’s work representing Midwest dairy farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the many benefits of membership, including youth scholarships, the new leadership program and our unique milk loss disaster program. Milk Marketing Director, Mick Homb, of the cooperative’s Family Dairies USA division will also share his experience selling milk through the pandemic and the volatility of milk markets in addition to Lab Director Cheryl Harrmann of the Fox Valley Quality Control Lab sharing how the pandemic impacted milk testing.
The meeting will conclude with an open discussion on any resolutions and policy updates members have. Resolutions are due to the cooperative for consideration by the Districting & Resolutions Committee by December 31st .
Living through such unprecedented times, it is more important than before for members to be involved and engaged. These circumstances are not ideal, so FarmFirst is providing the first 150 members that register and attend the virtual district meeting with a Culver’s gift card.
