FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative applauds the selection of Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) as Chair of the Senate Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Subcommittee.
“Senator Baldwin has been a tireless advocate for rural America and dairy farmers in particular,” says Jeff Lyon, General Manager of FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative. “As the lead author of the DAIRY PRIDE Act and now chairman of the subcommittee with oversight of the FDA, we are encouraged about the prospect of getting the FDA to enforce their rules prohibiting the labeling of imitation milk and dairy products as real dairy products.”
